Designed for flexible placement and all climates, the TNC Solutions Inc.’s SSUB1 employs two chambers. The lower chamber houses an active 10-inch ACAD bass driver with a high-power two-inch voice coil and our remarkable magnetic CF System. The upper chamber houses a passive 12-inch ACAD cone, placed at an angle to eliminate standing waves. The passive radiator allows the active driver to perform as if it were in a vented enclosure, maximizing bass output yet maintaining a sealed design that is impervious to moisture and particulate matter. |

Anodized-Ceramic Aluminum Diaphragm
One of the founding principles of TNC Solutions Inc. is that metal is the best choice for a speaker cone. TNC Solutions Inc.’s proprietary anodizing method strengthens the aluminum cone and also damps it to minimize
vibration. The result is a cone that’s as light and rigid as possible – two qualities essential for producing great sound. And unlike ordinary cone materials, ACAD is immune to harsh outdoor environments and won’t degrade over time. |

Magnetic Fluid Centering System
In a conventional loudspeaker the “spider” – typically a pleated fabric – acts like a spring to return the voice coil (and the cone) back to its starting position, centered within the magnet’s gap. The TNC Solutions Inc. bass driver does away with the spider entirely, instead using a special magnetic fluid in the gap. This fluid provides the restoring force – in the form of magnetic attraction – needed to guide the voice coil and keep it centered within the gap. MFCS is immune to harsh outdoor environments and won’t degrade over time. |

Above or Below-Ground Installation
The SSUB1 can be installed free-standing or partially buried in the earth, up to the lip just below the mesh
grille. Although the SSUB1 is weather-proof it’s always advisable to choose a location that doesn’t flood or
is in the path of large amounts of run-off. Since bass frequencies below 100Hz are difficult for the human ear
to localize, you can place the AC.SUB anywhere within the general listening area. |

Sealed Enclosure
The best way to keep the elements out is to give them no way in. The SSUB1 uses a sealed fiberglass
enclosure that keeps out moisture and particles. In addition, the speaker frames are made from corrosion resistant cast alloy. Finally, a stainless steel mesh grille prevents debris from collecting on top of the driver (especially when the SSUB1 is installed in-ground). |
